Tauheed (The oneness of Allah)
There is no God but Allah

[112:1] Say: He, Allah, is One.


[112:2] Allah is He on Whom all depend.
[112:3] He begets not, nor is He begotten.
[112:4] And none is like Him.
 Negation of Tauheed is Shirk (Polytheism).

[21:22] If there had been in them any gods except Allah, they
would both have certainly been in a state of disorder;
therefore glory be to Allah, the Lord of the dominion, above
what they attribute (to Him).
Also a hadith of Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) says about shirk that
it is the greatest of sins.

Verily! Joining others in worship with Allah is a great


zoolam(wrong) Indeed (Luqman :13)
 Forms of Shirk
Shirk ad Dua- invoking or supplicating to a false deity
besides Allah.
Shirk al Qasd- having the intention to worship a deity
other than Allah.
Shirk at-Taa- obeying any created being against the
command of Allah.
Shirk al Muhabbah- loving a created being or an object
more than Allah.
Hidden Shirk (shirk-e-khafi)- when a person does a
good deed to please someone else then Allah.
Prophet hood
 The Second pillar of Islam is
“Belief in Prophet hood”
Risalat means
1.To bring a message of great importance
2.To impart Knowledge of Something
3. To be given consecutive progressions of tidings
4. To be given authority and superior power
 Meanings of Prophet (Nabi)
1. To give important news, information,
announcements.
2. To have the gift of prophecy.
3. In an evident and clear way.
 Literal meanings of Nabi and Rasul.
The prophet has two capacities.
 He receives information and instructions from
Allah. (Nabi)
 He imparts the message to mankind. (Rasul)
Necessity of Risalat

 Go forth from this (state) all; so surely there will come to


you a guidance from Me, then whoever follows My
guidance, no fear shall come upon them, nor shall they
grieve.
Attributes of Prophet
 Prophets are human beings.
 Prophet hood is Allah’s favour; not right.
 Prophets are innocent.
 Prophets are gifted with Revelations.
 Obeying the prophet is obedience to Allah

Whoever obeys the Messenger, he indeed obeys Allah,


Finality of Prophet hood

 Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is


the Messenger of Allah and the Last of the prophets; [33:40]

 Perfection of religion

This day have I perfected for you your religion and completed
My favour on you and chosen for you Islam as a religion;5:3]
Day of Judgment

In Islam, Yawm al-Qiyāmah ( ‫" يوم القيامة‬the


Day of Resurrection") or Yawm ad-Din (‫يوم‬
‫" الدين‬the Day of Judgment") is believed to
be God’s final assessment of humanity. The
sequence of events is the annihilation of all
creatures, resurrection of the body, and the
judgment of all sentient creatures.
 Importance of belief in Life after
death
 Inclination towards Virtues.
 Prevention towards Sins.
 Responsible Life.
 Patience and forbearing.
 Bravery and Courage.

Zakat
Meanings of Zakat
To grow, purify and bless

Concept of Zakat.
To purify the remaining property and generate
equality
Recipients of Zakat.
There are eight categories of people (asnaf) who qualify to
receive zakat funds, according to the Qu'ran:
 Those living in absolute poverty (Al-Fuqarā')
 Those who cannot meet their basic needs (Al-Masākīn)
 The zakat collectors themselves (Al-Āmilīna 'Alaihā)
 People who are non-muslims, to show them the real spirit of
Islam (Al-Mu'allafatu Qulūbuhum)
 People whom one is attempting to free from slavery or
bondage. Also includes paying ransom or blood money
(Diyah). (Fir-Riqāb)
 Those who have incurred overwhelming debts while
attempting to satisfy their basic needs (Al-Ghārimīn)
 Those working for an Islamic cause (Fī Sabīlillāh)
 Travelers in need (Ibnus-Sabīl)
Importance and Benefits of Zakat

 Purifying wealth
 Lending loan to Allah
 Result of non payment of Zakat
 Circulation of wealth
 Financial sacrifice
 Helping the needy and poor
 Culmination of love for wealth
