Teacher Performance Objectives During the lesson the teacher will: Get the students involved as quickly as possible. Keep students engaged in activity. Students will stay inside the pool area. Students will not jump or dive into the pool. Students will not run on the pool deck. SEQUENCE OF LESSON Ss will go to the locker room to change and will dress appropriately for swimming in the pool. Students will meet outside the pool for instruction. Informing: Go over rules first No running on the pool deck No diving or jumping into the pool Stay inside the pool x area No one goes into the pool unless teacher x says to No talking when Im talking No splashing other students Treat each other and equipment with respect Today we will be playing water polo. The basic rules of water polo For this class there will be 4 teams of six people. 2 teams will be playing at once. The object is to score in the other teams net. To score the ball is thrown into the net. In regular water polo only one hand can be used but we will play with two hands. You cannot

We S will start with two sharks S and when I blow the whistle S all the students have to S swim to the other side of x the pool without getting tagged. If you are tagged you turn to seaweed and have to stay where you are to try and tag the minnows. Transition: Students will up against the wall in the pool where they started and will count in groups of four. Groups one and two will stay in the pool while three and four will stay on the side Activity 1 Informing: Water Polo Team one and team two will be playing each other in water polo. Team three and team four will be up against the wall on the side. Everyone on the side must pay attention because the teams in the game can pass the ball to them.The players on the side must pass it to the team that passed it to them. People that are uncomfortable

Transition: Students can get out and dry off so they dont get cold and meet on the outside of the pool for closure.
