News
Religion: We are talking about feelings in our
Family Life book. We are continuing to work on our
daily prayer manners in class.

Reading: We started working in our final reading
booklet for Units 9-10 in the Superkids book. This
weeks vowel sounds are the 2 sounds for oo,
book and zoo. We wrote in our journals.

Social Studies: We are reading about our country
and its history. This week, we are reading about
Native Americans.

Dinosaur Unit: We started our unit with small group
work. Each group researched a dinosaur. They
had 4 questions to answer. We used these
answers to fill in a chart comparing dinosaurs. We
watched a video from Discovery Education about
the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous Periods.

Math: We are naming coins and their values. We
are sorting groups of coins and finding the amount
of money in a group of coins. Our test on this
chapter is next week. Keep counting coins!

Our Painted Lady butterflies emerged from the
chrysalis stage this week. We watched them for 4
days and released them into the garden on
Thursday.
