News

Religion: We talked about the Holy Family. We


read about Jesus as a child. We are working on
our prayer manners each day. We attended the
Feast Day Mass for St. Viator on Friday. We also
colored a picture of him.
Reading: This week we read a poem in our reading
text. We read some funny poems written for
children. We wrote our own poems titled SuperDuper Me. We read stories about scarecrows. We
imagined what would happen if we were
scarecrows and wrote about it.
Math: We completed chapter two in our text. We
started the next chapter. We will focus on using
different strategies to solve addition problems.
Using geometric shapes, we created witches flying
on broomsticks.

Reminders

There will be a special activity each
day of the week.
*Return library books by Thursday of
each week.
*We are going to the 8:15 AM Mass on
Wednesday. We will gym class later
that morning.
*Please send in the Box Tops for
Education.

Science: We began the next chapter. We are


learning about describing and classifying animals.
We will learn about these six groups of animals:
fish, insects, birds, mammals, reptiles and
amphibians. We watched a Discovery Education
video about these six groups of animals.
Social Studies: We completed chapter one. Now
we are learning about communities and
neighborhoods.

Star Students
Mikayla is our star. She brought
some her favorite animals and
photos to share with us. Her mom
was our guest reader on her
birthday!
Arielle is one of our stars this
week. She brought her American
Girl Dolls and some special
photos. Her mom was guest
reader on Friday. She read a
Halloween story.
Their star posters are
displayed in our room.
