    REPORT FOR ASSESMENT OF SHINING MOTHERS SELF

    HELP GROUP
    This is a group that meets at SHOFCO SWEP (Shining Women Empowerment Program) room
    of operation. The group was registered in 2012 and a fluctuating membership. The group meets
    every Wednesday but on this particular day of meeting the turnout was poor as we assessed only
    7 members out of 25 members. Data clerks in the assessment team include:

    Vincent Oreje
    Moureen Mugure
    Bernard Mavyuva

    The assessment was successful despite some few challenges:

    Time keeping.
    Members seemed rude as they ignored our presence for a while.
    The group members showed their wrangles in our presence.
    One of their mates in the group had gone mad the previous night so they were all not
    settled.

    Despite all the challenges, the group had a good record and we acknowledge that they have
    undergone intensive training in the various group activities.
    We would recommend that the group also be given some training on how to handle themselves
    in the presence of group visitors and attitude towards their advocacy rights.
