Curriculum Corner
Language Arts
Reading: Students are still working on thinking and talking about books to
grow ideas. Students are concentrating on making connections this
week. While reading at home, please ask your child if they can make any
connections at the conclusion of the story. Below is a chart with
connection sentence starters.

Writing: Students will finish writing about their opinion using their
collections and move into more opinion writing. We will work on writing
reviews about books, restaurants, etc.

Math
This week we will continue work on adding and subtracting 2-digit
numbers and take our Unit 5 Math Test this Friday. Any additional help
with adding and subtracting 2-digit numbers at home will be
appreciated!

Science
We are beginning a unit on States of Matter this week.
