Fostoria Intermediate School

This year FIES will be putting a new spin on summer school. We will be offering three different
Summer Adventure Camps. Each of these weeks will have a different theme and will integrate
Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, and the Fine Arts. Summer Adventure Camps are
open to all current FIES students. Summer Adventure Camps will run from 8:30 am-11:30 am.
Students will have the option of receiving both breakfast and/or a sack lunch. Please see below for
camp descriptions:
Camp #1: MYSTERY MADNESS (June 22-June 25)
Students will spend four days solving a compelling mystery using reading,
science, and math skills. They will conduct forensic science tests on evidence
found at a "crime scene" then work together to seek their own solution. Students
will use critical thinking skills they will need in real life to solve a not so real
crime.
Camp #2: GAME SHOW MANIA (July 6-9)
Do you have what it takes to win it all? Then "COME ON DOWN" for game
show week at FIES! Participate in Jeopardy, Are You Smarter than Your
Teacher?, Minute to Win It, and much more!

Camp #3: SURVIVAL CAMP (August 3-6)

Do you have what it takes to survive your next grade level at FIES? Come to our
summer survival camp for four days of challenges and excitement! Out wit, out last, out
play!
