CHAPTER 3

METHODOLOGY
Research Design:
The study will use quantitative method of research with the use of a prepared
survey questionnaire developed by the researchers who also study about the effects of
sleeping time to the students academic performance in school. The questionnaire
contains (number of items). The students will be given a minute to complete the survey
upon request.

Respondents:
There will be one hundred forty five (145) participants for the questionnaire
survey from the four sections. Three sections have 36 students and the remaining one
has 37 students. The researchers will survey the grade eight students of San Pedro
College Basic Education Department.

Selection of Participants:
The participants of this research are the grade eight students from the following
sections of St. Hyacinth, St. John Macias, St. Lorenzo Ruiz, and St. John Paul II. There
are a total of one hundred forty six students that will be use to conduct the study. They
