E- TSW continue to participate in morning meeting routines and learn the pledges
with 100% accuracy

As the students finish up their morning work, sing the Carpet Song
o Students will put their work in their mailbox and go to their carpet spot
Once everyone is seated and practicing whole body listening, greet them
with, Good morning, Kindergarteners! They will reply with, Good morning,
Ms. Bentzin!
Ask students to stand for the pledges
o Face the flag and put right arm over heart; guide them through the
Pledge of Allegiance
o Turn to face the SMART Board and guide them through the Woodson
Critter Pledge
Ask students to sit down in their spot and show whole body listening
o Go through the morning message, encouraging students to read along
Students should now stand up and grab a friends hand; move to the outside
of the carpet to create a circle, sit down
o For the greeting, students must first tell us their name and then one
thing they love about Kindergarten so far. After each student is done,
everyone says, Good morning

Once everyone is done, have them move back to their carpet spots and wait
for the next task
