To Whom It May Concern:

I am delighted to write this letter of recommendation for Megan Manley. It has been my
pleasure to get to know Megan during the 2015-2016 school year. This semester, Megan is
completing a portion of her student teaching with me at Beacon Elementary School in Milliard,
Ohio. In this assignment, Megan works with K - 5th grade general music students.
Megan has a delightful way of inviting all students into the learning. They truly enjoy their time
with her. Her encounters with students are natural and comfortable and her engaging lessons
have won them over. She relates equally well with 1st and 5th grade alike and is able to
seamlessly switch between the different age groups back to back during the school day.
As her mentor teacher on this assignment, I appreciate her initiative in developing lessons that
meet the needs of the students. She has an instinct for creating age-appropriate lessons with a
blend of technology, instruments and other manipulatives - even melodic dictation with goldfish
crackers! Additionally, she is patient and thorough and shows a willingness to go above and
beyond for the students.
As an employee, I believe Megan would be an asset because of her flexibility, imaginative
standards-based lessons and professional countenance.
In short, I respect what she has done and will do as a teacher. It is a pleasure for me to
recommend Megan Manley as the newest member of your teaching staff.

Sincerely,

Nicole Mazon
