A Better Playgroud
We were so excited this
week to see the work finished on our new Trim Trail
and Tyre Park and couldnt
wait to test them out! As
you can see, they were very
popularwere so pleased
they were finished in time
for the summer months.

Junior wardens
Our new Junior Wardens are really enjoying their
sessions. Last week they went to the fire station to
learn all about fire safety and the job of a firefighter. Yesterday they visited the police dog training centre and learned about how police dogs are
trained and cared
for and how they
help the police.
They also helped to
raise 525 for
Woodhead Mountain Rescue at a
charity collection.
They will be presenting the cheque
to the Mountain
Rescue service
during their visit
on 5th May.

Dinner Money
School dinners cost 180 per day.
Please remember to pay all dinner
money on time via the school office.

Y3 Trip to Cresswell Crags


Y3 will be visiting Cresswell Crags
next Wednesday, 27 April, as part
of their learning about the stone
age. They will be leaving school at
9.15am and will returning to school
at 3.45pm. Children will need to
bring coat
and sensible shoes
for walking. Dont
forget a packed
lunch if you have
not ordered
one from school.

Lost Glasses
Are you missing some glasses?
We have two pairs of childrens
glasses in the school office that
are currently unclaimed. Call by
reception to claim them.

The Family
Centres
new facebook page
can now be
found by search Central Team
Family centre. Their new programme is now posted there with
details of groups and activities
for the summer term.

Football
Our Manchester
City Football coach,
Gary Frostrick, returned to school on
Wednesday and
learners in Y2 and
Y3 had a fabulous
training session
learning ball control
skills and tactics.
Gary will be back
soon to work with
other classes in
school.

Free After
School Sports
Club
Worsbrough Common Community
Centre are offering
a free sports club
for children aged
811, every
Wednesday from
46pm. Access a
range of sports for
the full session or
just
drop
in!

After School Care


Rising Stars Daycare now offer after school care for
children aged up to 8 years old. After school care
costs 10 per session from 3.30pm - 6pm. Sessions
must be pre-booked. To book a session contact the
school office or speak to Katie Ainley, Daycare Lead.
