Kindergarten Note Tuesday, September 6,

I hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend and I
cant believe that we are starting our 2nd week of
school already.
We have started Letterbook c. Ask your children
some things that begin with the letter C and the
sound /k/. In math we are learning how to write
the numbers 1-10. Today we learned 5. Ask them
the song that goes with each number. (sung to
skip to my lou melody) We are learning our math
manipulatives and today we made a pictograph to
count boys and girls in the class.
In Geography we are learning the continents and
oceans. We will begin science this week discussing
Living and Non-living things.
Today we began our computer classes with Mrs.
Haining. We have computer class from 9-9:45 am
every Tuesday morning. We had some mouse
practice today. In your childs folder is a letter
and an internet use policy which needs to be
signed and returned asap to me.

I think thats it for now. We are learning lots of

procedures for our classroom and school. Let me
