Ang isang tagapagbatas o lehislatura ay isang asembliyang pangpamahalaan kasama ang kapangyarihang magpatibay ng mga batas. Kilala
sa maraming pangalan ang lehislatura, parliyamentaryo at kongreso ang
mga pinakakaraniwan, bagaman may mga partikular na kahulugan ang mga
katagang ito. Sa mga sistemang parliyamentaryo ng pamahalaan, ang
tagapagbatas ang pormal na makapangyarihan at hinihirang ang
tagapagpaganap. Sa mga sistemang presidensyal ng pamahalaan, tinuturing
ang tagapagbatas bilang isang kapangyarihang kagawaran na kapantay, at
malaya sa tagapagpaganap. Maliban sa mga paggawa ng batas, karaniwang
may ekslusibong kapangyarihan na magtaas ng mga buwis at pagtibayan
ang budget at ibang gastusin ng pamahalaan. Kadalasang kailangang ang
pagsang-ayon ng tagapagbatas sa pagpapatibay ng mga kasunduan at
pagpapahayag ng digmaan.

Ang ehekutibo ay ang sangay ng pamahalaan na nagpapatupad ng
mga batas at alituntunin na ginawa ng sangay lehislatibo.

pag-unlad.

departamentong
tagapagpatupad
ng Pamahalaan ng Pilipinasna responsable sa pamamahala

sa Pilipinas. Ito ang pangunahing tagaisip ng mga
polisiyang pang-edukasyon at responsable sa sistemang
pang elementarya at pang-sekondarya dito sa Pilipinas.

rin ang responsable sa pagpapanatili at pagsasaayos ng
mga daan at mga patubig sa buong Pilipinas.

buwis at kita sa bawat lokal na pamahalaan at pag-aaral,
pagsang-ayon at pamamahala sa mga utang ng
pampublikong sektor, at pamamahala ng mga korporasyon
na pagmamay-ari o hinahawakan ng pamahalaan.

kinalaman sa pagpapalawak ng kaalaman, pag-pepresyo,
pamamahagi, at pangangalaga sa enerhiya.

The Regional Trial Court (RTC), formerly known as the Court of First
Instance (CFI), is part of the Philippine Court System classified as courts of
general jurisdiction. They handle and decide not only the particular
classes or kinds of cases assigned to them by law, but also those which
are not within the jurisdiction of the courts of the first level or
the Metropolitan Trial Courts .
Municipal Trial Courts in the towns and cities in the Metropolitan Manila
area, as distinguished from the other political subdivisions in the
Philippines,
are
referred
to
as
Metropolitan
Trial
Courts.
In cities outside Metropolitan Manila, the equivalent of the Municipal Trial
Courts are referred to as Municipal Trial Courts in Cities.

The Municipal code and the Provincial government act, being Act no.
82, entitled "A general act for the organization of municipal governments
in the Philippine island", and Act no. 83, entitled "A general act for the
organization of provincial governments in the Philippine islands" as
amended by the acts of the Philippine commission down to and including
May 31, 1905
Municipal Circuit Trial Courts are judicial courts of the Philippine Judicial
Sytem which covers two or more municipalities in the country. Every
municipality in the Philippines has its own Municipal Trial Court. It is
referred to as such if it covers only one municipality; otherwise, it is called
Municipal Circuit Trial Court if it covers two or more municipalities.
Court of Tax
Through the enactment of Republic Act No. 9282, the jurisdiction of the
CTA has been expanded to include not only civil tax cases but also cases
that are criminal in nature, as well as local tax cases, property taxes and
final collection of taxes.
Pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act No. 1125 and other laws prior to
R.A. 9282, the Court of Tax Appeals retains exclusive appellate jurisdiction
to review by appeal, the following:
Decisions of the Commissioner of Internal Revenue in cases involving
disputed assessments, refunds of internal revenue taxes, fees or other
charges, penalties imposed in relation thereto, or other matters arising
under the National Internal Revenue Code or other law or part of law
administered by the Bureau of Internal Revenue;
Decisions of the Commissioner of Customs in cases involving liability for
customs duties, fees or other money charges; seizure, detention or
release of property affected; fines, forfeitures or other penalties imposed
in relation thereto; or other matters arising under the Customs Law or
other law or part of law administered by the Bureau of Customs [Rep. Act.
No. 1125, (1954), Sec. 7];
In automatic review cases where such decisions of the Commission of
Customs favorable to the taxpayer is elevated to the Secretary of Finance
(Sec. 2315, TCC); and
Decisions of the Secretary of Trade and Industry, in the case of nonagricultural product, commodity or article, or the Secretary of Agriculture,
in the case of agricultural product, commodity or article, in connection
with the imposition of the Anti-Dumping Duty, Countervailing and
Safeguard Duty [Republic Act Nos. 8751 and 8752, (1999) Sec. 301 (a)
and (p), and Republic Act 8800].
Under Republic Act Number 9282, the CTA's original appellate jurisdiction
was expanded to include the following:
Criminal cases involving violations of the National Internal Revenue Code
and the Tariff and Customs Code;
Decisions of the Regional Trial Courts (RTC) in local tax cases;
