Hello Parents,
Literacy- This week in literacy, students reviewed the
letter sounds and names of J and K. Also, the students did Letter
sort 4 in Words their Way for the letters W, L, J and K. They also
brainstormed words that start with the letters K and J. We
played many fun literacy games to help students learn initial letter
sounds and sight words.
IPC- For IPC, we did our entry point activity for our unit
Lets Celebrate. The students had to brainstorm what people need
to bring or make to have a celebration. We then made party hats
to celebrate birthdays! The students also drew pictures of their
celebrations that they celebrate with their families.
Writing- This week students worked on their handwriting
skills and forming letters correctly. They practice writing letters
and also their names. The students also wrote in their writing
journals. They had to draw and write about their holiday and also
wrote about their favourite celebrations. They also worked on
morning work to help with their fine motor skills and reading skills.
Math- For math, we worked on number 8 and 9 and in
chapter 2. We played many math games during math center time
to help with counting.

Have a great weekend!
