Re: Letter of Reference

Dear Employer,
I am writing this letter of reference in support of Courtney Snider. I have known Courtney through her
junior high and high school years as an active rhythmic gymnast with CARGO Red Deer. It has been an
honour to coach her over the last few years.
Courtney has acted as assistant instructor for elementary-aged students. Courtney greets the children with
a warm smile and caring attitude. They look up to her with respect and admiration. She is clear in her
instructions and offers assistance when they need it. Her approach with them is gentle and not
intimidating.
When collaborating with teammates, Courtney provides the group with her ideas openly, while being
welcoming of others input. She is receptive to feedback from peers and her coaches and applies it readily
and enthusiastically. Courtney is a team player. Courtneys dedication to the group is demonstrated by her
eagerness to participate in all club activities, rarely missing classes and being fully present and working
hard when she is in class. Courtney is also well versed at working independently on her goals. She
maturely and responsibly prioritizes what she needs to work on, creates her action plan, and completes
what she needs to do, without the need for external motivators, in a timely and thorough manner.
Courtney is detail oriented, organized and responsible. She pays careful attention to details, which makes
her an excellent rhythmic gymnast but more importantly for the purpose of future employment, these
characteristics make her potentially an accurate, caring and conscientious employee.
