To whom it concerns,

It is with great pleasure that I take this moment to tell you about Marissa Thompson. I

provided the lecture for her medsurg II class and was also the clinical instructor for her hospital

assignment. She excelled for me then, and she continues to impress me now as she approaches

graduation. Marissa possesses traits of someone who is more like a seasoned nurse rather than

someone who is still a student in a nursing program. She is self driven, professional, and always

gives 100%. She asks for help when needed, clarifies with questions, and has great situational

awareness. I am perhaps most impressed by her resiliency. Even when lifes personal challenges

knocked on her door, she dug her heals in, formulated a plan, worked very hard, and

accomplished her goals. Nursing is a challenging career and I believe Marissa is battle tested

ready.

Marissa will bring a bright smile and warm heart to your team, and is someone who will not

only follow and represent you she will also lead for you one day when called upon. If you have

any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.

With warm regards,

John Sykes, MSN, RN
