Letter of Reference for Grant W ashburn

I am pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Grant Washburn. I have had the
pleasure of knowing Grant for the past two semesters in my position as a
Business/Marketing teacher. Grant always arrived professionally dressed with a pleasant
disposition that students responded to in a positive manner.

Grant has several strengths to offer as an educator but a main strength, from my
observations, is his ability to motivate students. He always seemed sincerely interested in
their progress and presented new material in a way that captured their attention. In
addition, he always displayed genuine enthusiasm in the classroom. He is intelligent,
capable, dedicated, and personable. He is quick on his feet, with sensible reactions in all
the circumstances I have witnessed. I feel confident in saying that he is capable of
handling any situation with thoughtfulness and maturity. During Grants intern, he
frequently put in long hours to develop lesson plans that were essential for the success of
his classes.

The frameworks for the course taught required a high level of communication and
organizational skills between student and teacher. Grant met every challenge with grace
and determination. Assisting students in accomplishing quality work was his main focus.

In addition, while at Woodland Grant was a part of a co-teaching project with the Family
and Consumer Science classes that focused on creating an entrepreneur project. Grant
worked with two-hundred plus students during this time and managed it with confidence.
Grant has gained collaborative experience with other teachers, administrators, students,
and parents. He has an excellent rapport with people of all ages. His communication
skills, both written and verbal, are excellent.
Given Grants background as an intern, I would recommend him for a position without any
