GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE CLASSROOM:

The classroom has enough space for me and the students and this will allow me
to develop fully the activities. Also, the students are sat in rows, there are some
posters and a television with a dvd player that it will be useful to develop some
activities in future sessions.

PROFILE OF THE LEARNERS:

The profile that I could notice that the learners like to participate actively during the
class time and the fact that they love English. However, the background check that
I did with some students is that they have some flaws in basic vocabulary. For this
reason, I consider that for me it is an excellent challenge to improve their abilities
in the L2.

AIM:
At the end of the lesson the learners will be able to: Make relations between and animal and their
respective habitat.

- Identifico palabras relacionadas entre s sobre temas que me son familiares.

- Comprendo descripciones cortas y sencillas de objetos y lugares conocidos.

- Soy capaz de ubicar un determinado animal en su hbitat correspondiente.
- Comprendo la diferencia entre hbitats y los diferentes animales que la habitan.
Assumed Knowledge: I assume that the Ss have knowledge about wild animals and the habitats.

Materials: Markers, board, flashcards, masking tape, portable speaker, Ipad.

To start with the class a short video will be


10 played, the video is about animals and their
minutes habitats, the students have to recognize some
animals and write them down in their notebooks if
they know the name of the animal, the video will
be played twice.

After the video and using a set of flashcards the T


will introduce 4 different habitats which are:
25 Forest, desert, pole and sea. Also the T will print
minutes a picture of the planet Earth to show the Ss the
main locations of the habitats. All the flashcards
will be stuck on the board. Below each flashcard
the T will stuck three animals that correspond to
each habitat.

After that the Ss are asked to write the name of


10 the habitat and make a draw of one animal for
minutes each habitat.

In order to practice the animals and introduce the


topic of next class, the T will distribute a
15 worksheet about farm animals, it is a word search
minutes activity in which they have to develop fully but
also study the names because maybe in the next
class will be a quiz.
EXTRA-CLASS WORK, ANNOUNCEMENTS, THINGS TO CONSIDER: For next class the Ss are
asked to draw, two more animals in each habitat.
