Lesson Plan Aspects of Verbs
I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to:
1. Enumerate the different aspects of verbs;
2. Identify the aspects of verbs used in different sentences;
3. Construct sentences correctly using aspects of verbs;
4. Demonstrate mastery of the topic by composing an essay; and
5. Realize the importance of how the aspect of verbs affects our daily conversations.
III. Procedure
A. Preparatory Activities:
1. Prayer
2. Greetings
3. Checking of Attendance
B. Motivation:
Show various “everyday life” pictures and have an interactive class by asking
them what the picture is portraying.
C. Lesson Proper:
1. Enumerate the six (6) aspects of verbs.
2. Explain the syntax of each tense and when and how it is used.
Perfect Tenses:
Past = had + past participle
Present = has/have + past participle
Future = will have + past participle
Progressive Tenses:
Past = was/were + -ing form of the verb
Present = is/are/am + -ing form of the verb
Future = will be + -ing form of the verb
3. Provide examples for each tense.
Ex. “I will be going to school in 10 minutes.”

B. Construct sentences for each tense/aspect of verb. Use the given sentence as a basis.
V. Assignment
On a ½ crosswise, compose an essay with not less than 6 sentences about what
happened to you during the week. Remember to use the correct aspect of verbs when
you are writing this essay.
