Have you ever tasted Amplang? A kind of crackers made from fish. It can be seem by
picture 1 above. Amplang is one snack of East Kalimantan, in the city of Samarinda and
Balikpapan. The unique is Amplang well-known from Ketapang,Western Kalimantan. It is
one of the foods that are often used as souvenir of Ketapang. Amplang is also easy to make,
you can make Amplang in your house. There are ingredients that can used to make Amplang,
how to make Amplang and the famous stores which sell Amplang in Ketapang.
First, the ingredients to make Amplang. The most important ingredient is fish. And
the other materials are fish Mackerel / Belidak 1 kilogram , kanji flour 2 kilograms, water 750
ml, salt 4/5 ounce, seasoning 1/5 ounce, garlic 5 seeds. For the fish, actually, there is no
necessity to use types of fish such as basic materials. Other types of fish can be used, such as
regenerations fish (catfish), but it will be very different in taste.

 First, combine fish, flour, water, salt and
seasoning stir until blended.

Third, the famous stores which sell Amplang in Ketapang. Actually, there are many
stores which sell Amplang, because this business has entered the Amplang export market. In
Ketapang, there are two famous stores; Amplang Obic and Amplang Sari Belidak. It can be
see by picture 3 and picture 4 below. Amplang Obic is located at Jl. Dr. Wahidin
Sudirohusodo no.46, Kauman Ketapang, Kalimantan Barat. And, Amplang Sari Belidak is
located at Jl. dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo no 3 Kauman Ketapang Kalimantan Barat. Both
stores are in the same located.

In short, Amplang is one snack of East Kalimantan. Amplang is a kind of crackers


made from fish. Amplang is one of the foods that are often used as souvenir of Ketapang.
Amplang is also easy to make. You can make Amplang in your house, because, the
ingredients is easy to find. The famous stores which sell Amplang in Ketapang are Amplang
Obic store and Amplang Sari Belidak Store.
