AFTHER MISSION REPORT

-Report on incident-

TO: english teacher

FROM: student Lt Eduard DANILA
DATE: Friday, June 29

Following the recognition mission from June 1, I will report the main events
that took place.
As requested, the group led by me had the task of investigating the
possible courses of action of the enemy in the lagoon area of the Danube Delta.
The mission started in the dawn of October 1st and lasted for a week. My unit was
deployed in a isolated area of a south-east part of the Danube Delta and our task
was to research the waterways in that area. It was a demanding mission, mapping
and researching everything from the first light to the night fall. Despite of all the
difficulties, harsh weather and lots of insects, we managed to do a great job until
the morning of the last day of mission when sergeant major Cristian MIHAI in an
attempt to rush our passage through a difficult area stepped on a trap mounted by
the wild animal poachers. Because the lack of health care we considered the
options of ending the mission. After receiving the first aid and cleaning the wound,
I came to the conclusion that it is just a shallow wound that does not jeopardize the
mission or the health of the soldier. Fortunately, everything was fine after the
wound was sealed with plasters and after administration of painkillers and large
spectrum antibiotic to prevent infections caused by bacteria.
In the end the mission was a success and we managed to do all tasks.
For future missions, I would like to recommend adding medical personal to
each team. Our basic first aid training is not enough for difficult injures and this is
a liability for our men and for the mission.
