 ID beat vs. rhythm
 ID/read/perform ta and ti ti in songs and patterns
 ID notes as being high or low
 ID a song by its rhythm

3. Materials: Rhythm Cards

4. Procedure

1. Hello’s (slsm)

2. Rhythm Card activity


 Play song and echo ta and ti ti cards

3. On a Log
 T. sings solfa and uses hand signs
 Students guess which song it was
 Students sing words and hand signs
 Show song on Smart Board and ID solfege

4. SMD Echo Phrases

5. Apple Tree
 Review song from 1st grade – teach to SE students
 Show where “do” is in the song
 Echo last phrase
 Play game!

6. Fuzzy Wuzzy
 T. intros new song and asks questions
 Echo with beat
 Echo with rhythm tappers
 Echo with solfege and hand signs

7. Goodbyes
