CHAPTER IV

PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS and INTERPRETATION of DATA

The chapter presents, analysis and interprets the data

collected in order to provide answers to the problem in

Chapter I.

Upon the researchers’ retrieval of questionnaire, data

collected were treated. The results in the treatment of

data were used to answer the following specific problems:

1. What is the profile of the student in terms of sex,

age, Monthly Income of Parents and Number of

respondents who experienced and done cyber bullying?

2. Include all SOP’s except the output.

which 0% of respondents are in the age between 13-15 years
old, 100% are in the age between 16-18 years old and 0% of

explains that their Parents’ Monthly Income vary.

Table 4.0 shows the respondents profile in terms of the
Number of the respondents who Experienced Cyber bullying in
which 85% of the respondents says they have experienced
cyber bullying and 15% of the respondents have not been
experience cyberbullying however 15% of the respondents
says that they never experienced cyberbullying.

60% of the respondents says they done cyber bullying
however 40% of the respondents says they never done cyber
bullying.

Table 27.0 shows that 45% of the respondents dis-agree that
because they experiencing cyber bullying they are not able
to review the lesson. That’s why they failed in exam,
however 40% agree and 15% are uncertain.
CHAPTER V
SUMMARY OF FINDING, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
This chapter presents the summary of finding on what is the
cause of cyberbullying and its effect on the academic
performance of Grade XI- Haber students of Del Gallego
Nation High School, this research included 20 selected
during the second semester of school year 2018-2019.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS
1. what is the demographic profile of the respondents in
terms of sex, age, monthly income of parents, number who
experienced cyberbullying and number who done
cyberbullying.
A.SEX
Based on the result of the study regarding
the profile of the respondents in terms of sex, the
respondents are composed of 100% male
B. AGE
Based on the result of the study regarding to the
profile of the respondents in terms of age, is 100% of the
respondents are in the age (16-18 years old).
C.PARENTS MONTHLY INCOME
Based on the result of the study regarding to the
profile of the respondents in terms of parents monthly
income in which 55% of the respondents parents monthly
income have Php8,000-Php14,000 and 45% of the respondents
parents monthly income have Php15,000-Php20,000
D.NUMBER OF THE RESPONDENTS WHO EXPERIENCED
CYBERBULLYING
Based on the result of the study regarding to the
profile of the respondents in terms of have you ever
experienced cyberbullying in which 85% of the respondents
they have experienced cyber bullying and 15% of the
respondents have not been experience cyberbullying however
15% of the respondents says that they never experienced
cyberbullying.
E.NUMBER OF THE RESPONDENTS WHO DONE CYBERBULLYING
Based on the result of the study regarding to the
profile of the respondents in terms of the Number of the
Respondents who done Cyber bullying in which 60% of the
respondents says they done cyber bullying however 40% of
the respondents says they never done cyber bullying.
2. What are the cause of cyberbullying of the respondents
in terms of personal factor, attitudinal/motivational
factor, social factor, psychological factor, emotional
factor.
A.PERSONAL FACTOR
In personal factor majority of the respondents
disagree that the cause why they experienced cyberbullying
they have unattractive face and they always posting their
pictures in social media, however majority of the
respondents answer uncertain because they have frail body
that’s why they always get bully on social media.
B.ATTITUDINAL/MOTIVATIONAL FACTOR
In attitudinal/motivational factor majority of the
respondents agree that they always using foul words in
their post, they always posting something even bad content
that’s why they get bully on social media, they get bully
on social media because others want revenge on them.
C.SOCIAL FACTOR
Social factor of what are the cause of cyberbullying
and its effect on the academic performance of Grade XI-
Haber Student of Del Gallego National High School majority
of the respondents disagree that they have unpleasant name
that’s why they get bully however majority of the
respondents agree that they have a judgemental friend in
social media that’s why they get bully.
D.PSYCHOLOGICAL FACTOR
Psychological factor of what are the causes of
cyberbullying and its effect on the academic performance of
Grade XI-Haber Students of Del Gallego National High School
majority of the respondents disagree that they have mental
issue and they feel outcasted from others that’s why they
get bully.
E.EMOTIONAL FACTOR
In emotional factor majority of the respondents agree
that when they are not playing they tend to feel a bit down
or moody, family and friends often commenting about my
status online and its became the reason why they get bully.

3. What are the effect of cyberbullying in the academic


performance of the respondents in terms of attendance,
class recitation and performance, working on assignment and
homework, quizzes and examination.
A.ATTENDANCE
In attendance majority of the respondents disagree
that they always absent in class, doing cutting classes and
they feel ashamed to the others because they experiencing
cyberbullying and it became the reason of their
absenteeism.
B.CLASS RECITATION/PERFORMANCE
In class recitation/performance majority of the
respondents disagree that they can't recite when the
teacher is asking a question because they always depressed
because of cyberbullying and they got low grades because
they can’t focus.
C.WOOKING ON ASSIGNMENT/HOMEWORK
In working on assignment/homework majority of the
respondents agree that they can’t even do their homework
because they always thinking the cyberbullying they’ve
experiencing however majority of the respondents disagree
that because they experienced cyberbullying some of their
answer in their homework is wrong because they can’t focus.
D.QUIZZES/EXAMINATION
In quizzes/examination majority of the respondents
disagree that they got low mark on their quizzes because
they always depressed because of cyberbullying and they are
not able to review the lesson that’s why they failed the
exam.
CONCLUSION
Based on the result of the study the following
conclusion were realized by the researchers.
1. Based on the study majority of the respondents in terms
of sex are male(100%) and female(0%).
2. Based on the study majority of the respondents terms of
age are in the age between 16-18 years old(100%).
3. Based on the result of the study majority of the
respondents in terms of parents monthly income have
php8,000-Php14,000(55%) and Php15,000-Php20,000(45%).
4. Based on the study majority (85%) of the respondents
have been experienced cyber bullying and (15%) have not
been experienced cyber bullying.
5. Based on the study majority (60%) of the respondents
have done cyber bullying and (40%) have not done cyber
bullying.
6. Based on the result of the study, some factors may cause
the cyber bullying of the students. In Personal factor that
may cause the cyber bullying of the student have the
majority of dis-agree that they have a frail body that’s
why they always bully in social media, they unattractive
face and always posting their pictures in social media that
becomes the reason they get bully however, in
attitudinal/motivational factor majority of the respondents
agree that they always using foul words in their post,
always posting about something even bad content in social
media and get bully because others wants to take revenge on
them. On other hand, Social factor of the cause of cyber
bullying of the students majority of the respondents agree
that they have unpleasant name, trying to socialize with
others without thinking what they’re doing and always have
a judgemental friend in social media that’s why they always
get bully, while in Psychological factor majority of the
respondents dis-agree that they have a mental issue, and
feel casted out from others and thinking they’re was a
loner, that’s why they bully them while in Emotional Factor
majority of the respondents dis-agree that they tend to
feel a bit down or moody whenever they’re unable to play
online and their friends or family often comment on their
status online.
On other hand based on the result of the study
majority of the respondents agree that cyber bullying
affects the student on their attendance, because of cyber
bullying they’re always absent in class, they cutting
classes because they got bully and feel ashamed to others
because they’re experiencing cyber bullying and it become
the reason of their absences. While in Class
recitation/Performance, majority of the respondents dis-
agree that they can’t recite when the teacher is asking
them a question because they always depressed because of
cyber bullying and they got low grades because they can’t
focus while in Working or Assignment/Homework majority of
the respondents agree that they can’t even do their
homework because they’re always thinking the cyber bullying
they’ve been experiencing and because they experienced
cyber bullying some of their answers in their homework is
wrong because they can’t focus and lastly in Quizzes or
Examination, majority of the respondents dis-agree that
they always depressed because of cyber bullying and because
they experiencing cyber bullying they’re not able to review
the lessons, that’s why they failed the exam.
RECOMMENDATION
The following recommendation offered on the findings
and conclusion of the study.
1. Students should avoid using foul words on their posts.
2. The students should think before they click posts in
social media to avoid criticism.
3. The teacher should make an action when there is a report
of cyberbullying in their school.
4. The teacher should give information on their student
about the effect of cyberbullying.
5. The future researcher are encouraged to conduct similar
studies to give more information about the couses of
cyberbullying and its effect on the academic performance of
the student.
6. The researcher should use this study as their guideline
on their own studies.
