Paper I - (200 marks)(100 Questions)

1 Current events of state, national and international importance.
राज्य, राष्ट्रीय आणि आंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तराच्या महत्वाच्या घटना
History of India (with special reference to Maharashtra) and Indian
2 National Movement.
भारताचा इततहास (महाराष्ट्राच्या तवशेष संदभाासह) आणि भारतीय राष्ट्रीय चळवळ.
Maharashtra, India and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic Geography of
3 Maharashtra, India and the World.
महाराष्ट्र, भारत आणि जगाचा भूगोल- महाराष्ट्राचा प्राकृततक, सामाणजक, आर्थिक भूगोल, भारत
आणि जग.
4 Maharashtra and India - Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System,
Panchayati Raj,Urban Governance, Public Policy, Rights issues, etc.
महाराष्ट्र आणि भारत- राजनीती आणि शासन – संतवधान, राजकीय व्यवस्िा, पंचायत राज, नागरी
शासन, सावाजतनक धोरि, अतधकार मुद्दे, इत्यादी.
5 Economic and Social Development - Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion,
Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc.
आर्थिक आणि सामाणजक तवकास- शाश्वत तवकास, गररबी, समावेश, जनसांख्ययकी, सामाणजक
क्षेत्रातील पुढाकार, इत्यादी.
6 General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change-that do
not require subject specialisation.
पयाावरिीय पाररख्स्िततकीय,जैवतवतवधता, हवामान बदला संबंधी सामान्य तवषय ज्याला तवषयाचे
सखोल ज्ञान असण्याची आवश्यकता नाही.

सवासामान्य मानतसक क्षमता.
6 Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X
level), Data
interpretation(Charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc.- Class X level)
मूलभूत संख्याशास्त्र, मानितीचे पृथक्करर्.
7 Marathi and English Language Comprehension skills (Class X/XII level).
मराठी आणि इंख्ललश भाषेचे आकलन कौशल्य.

Note 1 :
Questions relating to Marathi and English Language Comprehension skill of Class
X/XII level (last item in the Syllabus of Paper II) will be tested through passages from Marathi
and English language without providing cross translation thereof in the question paper.
Note 2 :
The questions will be of multiple choices, objective type.
Note 3 :
It is mandatory for the candidate to appear in both the Papers of State Services
(Prelim) Examination for the purpose of evaluation. Therefore a candidate will be disqualified
in case he / she does not appear in both the papers of State Services (Prelim) Examination.
