A DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH 8

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of a 60-minute lesson, the students shall be able to do the following
with 75% level of proficiency:
 Determine the key ideas, tone and purposes of the author (EN8LT-IVg-2.2.2)
 Infer thoughts and feelings expressed in a text listened to (EN8LC-IVb-6.2)
 Explain how the elements specific to a genre contribute to the theme of a
particular literary selection (EN8LT-IVg-2.2)

II. SUBJECT MATTER


 Topic: Elements of a Short Story “The Singa”
 Reference: Grade 8 English Curriculum
 Materials: Book, Laptop, LCD Projector, Colored Papers, Cartolina, Markers,
Paper Tape, Envelopes, etc.

For the pair of learners, one will pick
a definition of a word in the box; the
other one will play the board game.
