    Dear Dr. Olazo,

    My name is Carlos Gerona, former first year medical student for school year 2018-2019. I writing this
    letter to ask for your kind consideration and allow me to enroll to your department. Unfortunately, I was
    part of the list of students who were not able to pass the first year level due to family emergency.

    A week after the midterms exam for 2nd semester, my father got sick. I had to bring him home to the
    province and re-admit to the hospital due to complication on his lungs. I took care of him for two
    months until he recovered. By then, I was unfortunately not able to attend classes and take the final
    exams for all of my subjects.

    Despite of this unfortunate event, I am still eager to continue my studies and finish the medicine course.
    Hence I am writing this letter to ask for your permission to allow me to enroll as late enrollee and be
    part of your college.

    Thank you very much for your time. Would be looking forward to your response.
