ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

“The task ahead of us is never as great as the power behind

us”

The researchers would like to dedicate their

acknowledgment of gratitude towards the following significant

advisers and contributors:

First and foremost, the researchers would like to thank

St. Peter’s College of Ormoc for their support and

encouragement throughout the research and for extending

their laboratory facilities to the researchers.

To Mr. Mark Anthony Malinao, for his willingness to serve

as the Research Adviser, the researchers would like to thank

him for the support and patience in guiding assisting his

students in improving this paper.

To Ms. Rolanie Clemente and Mr. Leo Giganto for their

knowledge, support, and encouragement all throughout the

research. To their parents, family, and friends, that provided

the researchers with advice and financial support and aiding in

the completion of the investigatory project.

ii
And most of all, the researchers would like to express

their gratitude to God for providing them with strength and

enlightenment and the determination to carry on.

The researchers hope that this study might inspire future

researchers to discover new things, create unique ideas and

open new paths that can help shape a better environment.

ABSTRACT

The Neem Tree, is found to be a good source of eco –

friendly biopesticides because of the presence of azadirachtin.

With the current issues we have today, the accumulation of

insects has become a devastating problem to the masses.

The purpose of the study is to compare the effectiveness

of the seed and leaf extract of the Neem tree (Azadirachta

indica) biorational insecticide ingredient on disease harboring

insects. Those who frequently deal with insects can benefit from

this study because of its natural properties that brings a

positive impact in the society.

The researchers and their study is under the jurisdiction

of St. Peter’s College of Ormoc, they used their laboratory

facilities in order obtain the results of this study and accomplish

the research chosen.

The researchers identified the Neem seed extract as the

most effective part of the Neem tree in producing Biorational

Insecticide for the targeted insect: mosquito larvae. The

researchers decided to plant a Neem Tree in their respective

homes to show that this tree deserves more credit than it

usually has, in certain parts of Asia, this tree has been a weed,

not knowing that this tree is actually a benefit to the society.
