DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN MATHEMATICS

I. Objectives
At the end of 60- minutes period, 75% of the class should be able
to:
a. Identify the classification of angle;
b. Draw the classification of angle;
c. Appreciate the importance of angles.

II. Subject Matter

a. Topic: Kinds of Angles
b. Reference: K-12 E-Math 7
c. Authors:
d. Page:
e. Materials: Laptop, and Marker Pen.

III. Learning Procedure

Teacher’s Activity Student’s Activity

A. Preliminary

May I request everyone to stand and start (Students Stand for a

our day with a prayer. prayer)

Students lead the Prayer. (Students Praying)

Good morning Class!

Good morning Mr.
Cultura.

It’s nice to see you. It’s nice to see you too

sir.

You may now take your seat. (students sitting down)

B. Lesson Proper

a. Drill

Before we proceed to our new lesson, let’s

have an activity first, I have three envelops,
I need three volunteers to perform the task
that I will give.

Using the cut-out lines form an angle. it

must be with different form of an angle.
Examples:

(Students Perform)
Very good you may now take your seat.

b. Review
Class what was our lesson yesterday? The lesson yesterday sir
was about

Very good! .

What is ________________?

Anybody?

Very good!

C. Motivation

Yes sir the top of the

Can you find angles in this picture? house is Triangle shape.

Very good class.

D. Discussion:
Now, we will discuss to you the
Classification of angle.
Acute angle- is an angle smaller than a
right angle. The range of an acute angle is
between 0 and 90 degrees.

Right angle- a right angle is an angle of exactly

90°, as in a corner of a square or at the
intersection of two perpendicular straight lines.

Obtuse angle- The obtuse angle is the

smaller angle. It is more than 90° and less
than 180°. The smaller angle is an Obtuse
Angle, but the larger angle is a
Reflex Angle.
Now we already know the Classification of
an angle. This time we are going to
determine and calculate how many degree’s
are there in an angle.

Examples:
A. Application

This time class, I want you to answer

this following angle and degrees.
Anyone, Yes Solidad.

1.

(Solidad perform)

Very good solidad

2.

(Juan perform)

How about no. 2, Yes Juan

Very good Juan.

3.

Another one for the no.3, Yes Tyrone (Tyrone Perform)

Very good Tyrone.

E. Generalization
Class what angle measure 0-90 degree? Maria: Sir, Acute Angle.
Yes Maria.

Excellent Maria.

Another one class, what angle measure

exact 90°? Yes Jose Jose: Sir, Right Angle

Very good Jose.

Last one class what angle measure more

than 90° but less than 180°? Yes Juan. Juan: Sir, Obtuse Angle

Very good Juan.

Is it clear now? Yes sir.

Very Good!

Angles are important to defining and studying

polygons such as triangles and quadrilaterals.
