February 4, 2019

Content Standard:

The learner demonstrates understanding of three kinds of Angles

Performance Standard:

The learner is able to identities and describes the different kinds of triangles: acute, right, and
obtuse angle

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the pupils should be able to:
a. Identity three kinds of angles
b. Classify each angle as acute, right, or obtuse angle
c. Value the obtuse angle of relationship that we have in Jesus

II. Subject Matter

a. Topic: Kinds of Angles
b. Reference: Mathematics in Action 4
c. Materials: Printed pictures, printed activities
d. I.F.L: Just like obtuse angle, we should have this kind of relationship with Jesus.

III. Strategy

Teacher’s Activity Students’ Activity

Preparation
a. Greetings
b. Checking the attendance and the
cleanliness of the classroom

A. Activity
(The teacher will show an angle)
I want you to identify the different kinds of
angles.

Pupils Answers
1.

2.
1. Obtuse angle
2. Right angle
3. 3. Acute angle

Who got the correct answer?

(All pupils raising their hands)
Very good.

B. Analysis
Let’s study the three kinds of angles. What is
the first one?
Acute angle sir
What is it?
Have a measure less than 90 degrees
Very good! What is the next one?
Right angle
And what is it?
Have a measure of 90 degrees
Excellent!
And the last one is what?
Obtuse angle sir
And what is it?
Have a measure greater than 90 degrees

Correct greater than 90 degrees but less than

180 degrees

C. Abstraction
Can you repeat again the different kinds of
angles and give brief definitions?
Acute angle is less than 90, right angle is exactly
90 and obtuse angle is greater than 90 but less
than 180
Brilliant! Just like the obtuse angle, we should
have this kind of relationship with Jesus.

D. Assessment
Measure and classify each angle as acute, right,
and obtuse angle.
Answers:

1. 1. Acute angle, 60

2. 2. Obtuse angle, 100

3. 3. Right angle, 90

4. 4. Obtuse angle, 95

5. 5. Acute angle, 88
