Mr. António Guterres

General Secretary
United Nations
405 East 42nd Street
New York, 10017, USA

Dear António Guterres:

want to open a discussion about modern technology and its implications for the environment. In my
opinion, technological advances have greatly affected the environment due to the great impact on
pollution due to industrialization due to gases and waste produced by it. It is true that technology
has contributed to the improvement of the quality of life and the development of new tools and
products. We can also say that it is the most important factor in the damage of the environment due
to its massive pollution where rivers, jungles, wild species and different natural wealth have been
affected where the damages produced are irremediable.
I suggest that you go to governments around the world to take urgent action against environmental
degradation. With sustainable policy strategies, forest restoration projects, less production of
plastics among others.
You can lead a life with modern style but protecting our planet in a safe and pleasant way for this
and many more generations.

Sincerely,

Paola Liliana Garcia Carvajal
