SYNCHRONIZED SUPREME STUDENT GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS

FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2020-2021

Pursuant to OUA MEMO no. 01-0120-0609 dated January 30, 2020 the Department
of Education will hold a synchronized SPG/SSG elections all over the Philippines on
February 14, 2020.
On February 3, 2020, the Landang Gua National High School started to follow the
said Memo through the filing of Certificate of Candidacy by the qualified students who
wanted to join the SSG organization spearheaded by the the Comelec Adviser Ma’am Patma
A. Rebollos assisted by the Arpan Teachers with the help of the SSG Adviser.
On February 5, 2020, the Evaluation of the Certificate of Candidacy was done and
was led by Sir Vicente Alas-as a Senior High School Instructor and ArPan major. The
candidates were thoroughly scrutinized and have been proven qualified to join the SSG
organization as leaders.
On February 6, 2020, the Announcement of the Official List of Candidates were
declared to the students by the Comelec Adviser Maam Patma A. Rebollos assisted by Sir
Ar-Rasid A. Hamirul.
On February 12-13, 2020, the campaign period has begun and the Presidential
Election Forum was also held led by the Comelec Adviser with the assistance of the ArPan
Mentors.
On February 14, 2020, 8:00 a.m. the day of the synchronized election was held at
LGNHS. It’s for the first time after 12 years of existence of the SSG in Landang Gua NHS
that the SSG Election was made automated. The ICT Coordinator Sir Al-Sharif K. Salikala
helped the Comelec Adviser to install the Automated SSG Election system to six personal
computers to be used for the election. The election was spearheaded by the Comelec
adviser Ma’am Patma A. Rebollos and was assisted by the ArPan Teachers with the help of
the selected Comelec Representatives of the LGNHS student body. The election started with
the Grade 7 curriculum up to the Grade 12 Curriculum and was successfully done without
any interference or trouble. The election ended at 12:00 noon and the consolidation of the
result of the election was done immediately by the ICT coordinator sir Al-Sharif K. Salikala
assisted by the SSG Adviser Ma’am Dorothy F. Potenciano and was witnessed by some of
the candidates and other teachers of LGNHS. The winners of the election were declared by
the Comelec adviser Ma’am Patma A. Rebollos right after the consolidation of votes.
