ABSTRAK

Artikel ini untuk meneliti perkaitan Teori Kecerdasan Howard Gardner dengan elemen seni
dalam pendidikan. Artikel ini berfokus kepada pengaplikasian elemen seni dalam pendidikan
iaitu seni irama dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran (P&P) Bahasa Melayu Sekolah
Rendah. Tujuan artikel ini adalah untuk meneliti keberkesanan pengaplikasian elemen seni
irama dalam proses P&P berpandukan Teori Kecerdasan Howard Gardner. Artikel ini
mendapati bahawa pengaplikasian elemen seni irama dalam P&P mampu memenuhi keperluan
pembelajaran murid yang mempunyai perbezaan kecerdasan.

Kata Kunci: Teori Kecerdasan, seni irama, perbezaan kecerdasan.

This article examines the relevance of Howard Gardner's Theory of Intelligence with the element
of art in education. This article focuses on the application of art elements in education that is the
rhythm art in the teaching and learning process (P&P) of Primary School Malay Language. The
purpose of this article is to examine the effectiveness of the application of rhythm art elements
in the P&P process based on Howard Gardner's Theory of Intelligence. This article found that
the application of rhythm art elements in P&P able to meet the needs of pupils with intelligence
differences.
