Shaping the Modern Middle East

This assignment is designed for you to practice research skills, presentation skills,
and to test what you have learned in class since the World War I exam. This
assignment will be assessed as one test grade. The scoring rubric can be found on
the back of this sheet.

PART 1: Group Presentation

examine two of the “40 Maps That Explain The Middle East” maps.

you will present your maps to the class with additional information you research

PART 2: Individual Essay

Individually, you will write a 5-paragraph essay answering the following question:
How did World War I and its aftermath impact the modern Middle East?

When crafting your essay, do not forget what we have covered in the last weeks:
