object can be described. Key concepts include
o a) colors of objects;
o b) shapes and forms of objects;
o c) textures and feel of objects;
Content

o d) relative sizes and weights of objects; and

o e) relative positions and speed of objects.
Activity The objective in this lesson activity is to introduce position,
motion, and physical properties of an object. The teacher will
achieve this by engaging the students using an activity on Smart
Exchange. The teacher will start by providing information as well
as teaching the students the specific properties of an object and
how it is described. The students will then be able to use the
SMART lesson the teacher provided as a fun interactive activity
to help them understand the key concepts. The activity also
allows the teacher to engage the students with hands on
activities within the classroom in between the different
concepts. The teacher will then randomly select students to
individually come to the SMART Board to interactively classify
and identify objects. The students will then go through the
different slides, activities, and videos to learn more about the
properties of an object. The student will complete the certain
activity by dragging the object to the appropriate category as
well as sorting the objects by what the slide states.
