After watching the video, there are many realizations and important lessons that I’ve got such

as:

1. In order to showcase our faith, we must do something for God and others
2. Being disciples of God, we must not only love God but also our neighbors
3. We must not only deal with the effects of a situation but rather find a remedy for its causes.
4. We must respond to charity and justice and be committed to it because we are called for it

As a Christian, it is important to have faith in God and love Him with all of my heart but I realized that it
is more important if I will be able to exercise my faith and prove my love for God. In able to do such, I
must respond to the call of charity and justice which is inseparable because charity is not enough
without justice. Every Christian like me must commit in breaking down the barriers that obstruct God's
kingdom of justice and peace and eventually make the world more respectful of human life and dignity.

But as we can see in today’s world, there are things that challenge our society such as inequality
especially for the poor. I can see that the poor do not have equal opportunities in many aspects of their
lives that is why they remain poor. Moreover, poor people are prone to doing bad things because of lack
of opportunities of education and employment provided for them. As a result of this, they resort to
different activities like stealing, kidnapping, gambling and other related crimes just to live and survive in
the society. In response to this problem, as a disciple of God, I can do some charitable work such as
extending my hand to them by giving them food and other resources that they need in order for them to
survive the day. But looking at a wider perspective that is only a short-term solution for their problem.
They can get off from poverty if they have proper education and if there would be employment
opportunities for them but again, there is none because of poor governance in the country. Some
solutions that I can see is to first have responsible and committed politicians who can really support and
serve their constituents and not just some popular individual with no concrete plans and goals for the
community and nation. In order to have that, the people must be educated in whom they will vote so
that no one will get left behind in the country because having a good governance would result to having
equal opportunities in education, in healthcare, etc. which can help the poor to get off from their
current situation and by that, they can better respond to their own needs.
