ARMY MUSEUM.

INTRODUCTION:

The company who take the project of ARMY MUSEUM is M/S CONSTRUCTION who is
the company of MR Ameer WAHEED. He is CEO of the company. The ARMY
MUSEUM is came into being with the help of many more companies but the main
holder was M/S CONSTRUCTION.Who gave the proper instructions about this
project.
CONTRIBUTIONS BY FOLLOWING TOWARDS COMPLETION OF THE

PROJECT:

1: General Ashfaq Parvez kiyani, NISHAN-I-imtiaz(Military), Hilal-I-imtiaz ,CHEIF OF


ARMY MUSEUM - for their patronage, guidance and direction.
2: Lieutenant General Zahid Hussain, Quartermaster General - for a kick starting the
project.
3: Lieutenant General Sajjad Ghani, who took over the project in its infancy from his
predecessor,infusing zeal and enthusiasm and leading it to its finality.
4: Brigadier Waqar Gull (retd) Sitara-I-imtiaz for being the project director who
accomplished the assigned task while going into minutest details of each
development activity.
5: Director Army Museum for supervising and coordinating all museum development
activities.
6: Lieutenant Colonel Baidar Bakht Haroon ( RETD ) is director Army Heritage
Foundation for development of display content and write ups.
7: MR. Muhammad Tahir Khan, Senior Curator Army Museum for assisting the
director in all spheres of activities.

CIVILIANS CONTRIBUTIONS:

1: M/S CONTRUCT ( MR. Ameer Waheed ), as Army Museum consultants.


2: M/S Design ( Principal Designer MS.Sadia Zenad Khan ), M/S Isolated Media ( Chief
Executive Officer MR. Saif ur Rehman ) as product Designers and Communication
Designers respectively.
3: Faculty members of NCA also contributed.
HISTORY:

One of the first project was this team worked on is located in Rawalpindi Museum.
Now army wants something different this time so they wanted this more attractive
so they hand over all of this project
to the M/S construct company. The time period was very short for this project only
1.5 year. So this was really a big task. First they wanted this to be more good looking
and also the people from out side the PAKISTAN also visit this one. So they decide
the location which is easily can be seen by the people who are visiting Lahore. The
location of this museum is Amjad CH. Road, near to the Allama Iqbal Airport. They
start working on this project on last months of 2016 and the project completed in
2018.
They made it single story with all green layout and all the inventory in it is really used
in wars.
They uses black box concept in it, and also to make products looks real they play
sound tracks according to the views.

CURRENT POSITION:

This place is the most visited place in Lahore. Almost half of the million people
visited this place in back 2 years. Per day 1000 to 1200 people visits. And more
people wanted to but army don’t allow them because they want this place look not
much crowded but motivational. Most of the school trips visit this place so they
make students learn about Pakistan.

SPAN OF CONTROL:

The on duty General is controlling all the museum with his soldiers. The name of
General the not allowed to reveal.
POLICIES

1: Clear cut time limitation which was the biggest task for all the teams involved in
this project. 6 September 2018 was the deadline. Also capturing the emotions of
every type of visiters. Combination of all the things into a big hall so they can create
a emotional environment.
2: Risk factors are some kind of Slippage in time lines, structure problems, hurdles in
things because of the time limits, data collections of all the products which have
been shown in the museum. The data was provided by the ARMY.
3: The annual worth is ( 21,600,000. )
4: The employees are the soldiers.
5: The budgeting policies they were not allowed to reveal.
6: Down sizing policies are basically on the General himself if any of the employee is
not following the rules so he is not allowed to work for them.
7: Foot Fall controlled, the number of people are allowed in one day are only 1200
max because of the staff so they can control them easily.
8: Thursday is the day of training for all the employees and officially off. The
procedure of training is security, tour guides, admins, procedure of change in
display.

PROCESS GROUPS:

The process group criteria is kind of change in this project because of the short time
line. They worked with the help of different teams involve so the not have any steps
to create this project because if the go for the building first then they work on other
products, sounds, data collections. They would get late for the project. So they
worked on everything in a same time. If the construction team is working on the
building they were on the other hand were making the products which have been
shown in the museum
