DESIGN BASIS REPORT FOR DIAPHRAGM WALL DESIGN

 The earth pressures acting on the diaphragm wall is in accordance with Coulombs equation.

 As per foundation investigation report foundation has been carried out from RL 240.3.

 Foundation investigation report as submitted by FOUNDTEK CONSULTANT for Bore Hole No 4 has been
considered for design of Diaphragm wall

 Shear Parameters considered for design is


0 to 27m = “c”= 0 Kn/m2,Phi = 29 degree

 Permissible Crack width considered for design is 0.3 mm

 Additional Live Load Surcharge of 1.2 from has been considered for Diaphragm wall design.

 Provision of Guide wall is kept as per IS 9556.


 Design has been carried out as per IS 456 in Limit State.

 All RCC work shall be designed in accordance with the provisions of IS : 456 in concrete grade M30 and
reinforcement HYSD TMT Fe500D.

 Permissible Stresses in Concrete shall be in accordance with IS: 456.

 Permissible Stresses in Reinforcement shall be in accordance with IS:456

 Minimum clear cover to main reinforcement for Diaphragm wall adopted is 50mm.
