1. Scope:

This procedure covers material, supervision and methods of repairing the


crack across the wall at control monitoring basin.

2. Purpose:

The purpose of this procedure is to provide guidelines for repairing the


crack across the wall at control monitoring basin.

3. General Requirements:

Repairing of above to be done as per technical specification and relevant


manufacturer guidelines.

4. Material Description.

The following shall be procured ad used for the repairs:


 BASF master inject 1315.
 Bonding Agent i.e. Fosroc Nitobond-EP or equivalent.
 PVC nozzles.
 Steel / aluminium nosing along with screw.
 Plywood formwork.

5. Equipment, Machineries & tools:

 Chisel
 Hammer
 Plumb bob
 Drilling machine
 Form work
 Mortar pan, trowel
 Trowel
 Finishing plates
 Measuring jar

 PPE: gloves, respirator, safety warning device, safety shoes


etc.

6. Procedure:

The details of concrete shall be repaired based on depth and severity of


defect as follows.

a) Making the 25mm wide groove.


b) Removal of loose material.
c) Cleaning of affected area.
d) Application of bonding agent i.e. FOSROC Nitobond ep or equivalent.
e) Fixing steel / aluminium nosing both side of affected area of wall.
f) Fixing of Nozzles.
g) Applying the BASF master inject 1315 or equivalent material and
approved brands.

a) Making the 25mm wide groove.


Make the 25mm wide & V - type groove on the cracks at affected area of
wall.

b) Removal of loose material.


Loose material (concrete particles) of the affected area is to remove using
wire brush and chipping hammer, till solid and compact concrete is visible /
encountered.

c) Cleaning affected Area.


Clean the surface thoroughly with brush / compressed air to remove finer
particles and then wash with water.

d) Application of bonding agent i.e. FOSROC Nitobond-EP or


equivalent.
Application of bonding agent FOSROC Nitobond or equivalent approved
brand shall be applying of affected area as per manufacturer’s guidelines.

e) Fixing Plywood both side of affected area of wall.


Fixing the plywood / formwork both side of the wall on affected area and fill
the groove with FOSROC conbextra GP-02 mixed with FOSROC latex (SBR)
as a flowable condition.

f) Fixing of Nozzles.
PVC Nozzles of 10mm dia shall be fixed on both side surface and top of the
wall for a depth of 100-150mm and sealed with M- seal. Nozzles shall be
fixed top surface of wall exactly on crack.

g) Applying of BASF Master Inject 1315.


BASF Mater Inject 1315 shall be grouted through compressed air3-4 kg/cm 2
and nozzles shall be closed after grouting.

7. Quality Assurance & Quality control:

a) Manufacturer data sheet guidelines,


b) Technical specification
c) Insure proper mixing
d) Surface finishing.

8. Safety concerns:

a) PPE’s shall be used properly by all workman


b) All rotational units should be covered.
c) Manufacturer’s M.S.D.S. shall be follows.
