We are really grateful because we managed to complete our assignment based on


power battery from the ground by using eco-friendly material within the time given
by our lecturer Madam Cynthia Dawayan Robert.. We sincerely thank our lecturer
of MGT162, Madam Cynthia Robert Dawayan for the guidance and encouragement
in finishing this assignment and also for teaching us in this course.

This assignment cannot be completed without the effort and co-operation


from our group members Clarence Calixtus Laudi, Mohd Adli Syamim Bin Waideh,
Yasmeen Hany Binti Mohd Sharizal, Dewi Mahanih Bin Madlan, Adzmin Bin
Arsad and Azri Qayumm Bin Johan.

Finally,thank to our beloved friend that always stick together and also work hard
to produce a good assignment with all afford and responsibility. Hope that all the
affordwill give a lot of benefits to us and also to our group project.
Executive summary

Power and economy shop will start operation in February 2020. Our business serve a
service for the interior residential Kg.Lugu, Kota Belud with our product called
Tangible Soil Battery (TSB). One of the factors of selecting the proposed business is
because we want to supply electricity power for their home. This place we select
because they are facing electricity supplier problem. Our mission is to introduce the
best eco-friendly power supply in the market today by providing paramount
technology, and superior quality.

We choose the form of partnership for our business because the advantages we get
are getting additional funding, shared loss and ability to specialize. However, there
are also disadvantages our business will face such as shared control, unlimited
liability and shared profit.

Usually when we started a business, our business needs to know the elements of
management. There are four elements of management which are planning,
organizing, leading and controlling.

Planning covers the activity of formulating company’s by set up the standing plans
and single use plan where to ensure the attainment of business mission and
objectives through the most effective and efficient means.

Organizing refers to the activities where our business will designing an


organizational structure, dividing and assigning jobs and task among departments,
section and or units besides handling the infrastructure and operations methods. This
is also called as departmentalization.

Leading is the act of getting the job done through other people is referred to in
managerial functions. Through leading, we as leader in our business develop
interpersonal and good communication skills to enable to lead and motivate the
workers.

Controlling is monitoring functions to ensure that activities carried out are on the
right track in achieving the goals set out by the business. It is vital in ensuring the
attainment of business goals. Production refers to any activities which create goods
and services to satisfy human needs.

In our business we arrange our own strategy of marketing which involve 4 P,s where
identification, selection and development of product, determination of its price,
selection of a distribution and channel to reach the customers,s place and distribution
and development and implementation of a promotional. We serve a service with a
reasonable and affordable price. Lastly, one of the promotion strategy we use radio
because in our group Research and Development (R&D), most of the interior
residents at Sabah especially at Kg.Lugu, Kota Belud use radio as their platform to
know all recent and updated news. So our group take it as big opportunity to
promote our product to them.

1.0 Introduction

A power supply is an electrical device that supplies electric power to an electrical


load. The primary function of a power supply is to convert electric current from a
source to the correct voltage, current, and frequency to power the load. As a result,
power supplies are sometimes referred to as electric power converters. Some power
supplies are separate standalone pieces of equipment, while others are built into the
load appliances that they power. Examples of the latter include power supplies found
in desktop computers and consumer electronics devices. Other functions that power
supplies may perform include limiting the current drawn by the load to safe levels,
shutting off the current in the event of an electrical fault, power conditioning to
prevent electronic noise or voltage surges on the input from reaching the
load, power-factor correction, and storing energy so it can continue to power the
load in the event of a temporary interruption in the source power.

Power and economy shop provides a safe, unique and economy power supply which
is a product called tangible soil battery (TSB). This tangible soil battery (TSB) is a
product where the energy never runs out. You don’t need to worry about price and
how to renew the power of the energy from the battery. Besides, our qualified
electrical engineers will tell and teach you how to use this battery safely and
effectively. The soil battery well generated by the worker, which will further
decrease your risk of being shock by the electricity flow. Our business have two
types of activities which are manufacture battery and sell environmental friendly
products made from Eco-Bricks. This business organization will establish on March
2020. Economical Power Shop will be located at Kg.------------- which consist of---
(AMOUNT)----members. We have classified ---(AMOUNT)------ of departments.
The purposes existence of our business are to help the poor people, encourage
people to prevents excessive disposal of acid and alkaline content in batteries and to
get more customers by increase the sales.

2.0 Planning

2.1 Vision
 We plan to have our customer’s understanding in The Tangible Soil Battery
(TSB), a superlative experience with eco-friendly power supply for customer’s
brand retention. Tangible Soil Battery (TSB) will become the premier battery
not only for electronics things but also for industrial applications. This product
will have long period of lifetime.

2.2 Mission
2.2.1 Long-term planning
 To introduce the best eco-friendly power supply in the market today by
providing paramount technology, and superior quality.
 To reduce disposal chemical types of battery.

2.2.2 Short-term planning


 To provides the eco-friendly power supply for those who live in the interior
places.
 To earn profit in short period of time
 To maintain our sales

2.3 Goals and objective


2.3.1 To help the poor people
 Our target place in interior place at Kg.Lugu, Kota Belud. The residents at this
place reported that they were facing problem to get power supply. All the
resident at Kg. Lugu needs electric supply. To get the source of electricity from
the SESB to need a lot of money to have it. Our product creates to get the
easiest and efficient source of energy to generate any electrical components
such as a lamp, fan, and television and so on. This is the cheapest product that
helps to generate power supply.
2.3.2 Encourage people to prevents excessive disposal of acid and alkaline content
in batteries
 The latest design of battery which is a source of energy that can generate
electricity are rechargeable and non-rechargeable. This battery form with acid
and alkaline. The uncontrolled battery production that forms with chemical
contents will cause radiation. Our new product that called tangible soil battery
(TSB) is a very safe and eco-friendly source of energy made by soil, copper, and
zinc with the solution of water. Tangible Soil Battery (TSB) will prevent
radiation and safe our mother nature.

2.3.3 Getting more customers; etc. Interior residents


 Interior area is the most suitable place for our power and economy shop.
Opening this shop will help the government to collaborate with our company to
expand the sales and can be trusted by the interior residents. This is the cheapest
product and eco-friendly source energy. We strongly believe, our product
Tangible Soil Battery (TSB) will get the opportunity to increase the income
source.

3.0 Organizing

3.1 Type of departmentalization used:

 From the diagram below it is clearly show we use the functional structure

i) In our business shows from the perspective unity of command where all the
department of human resource, marketing, operational and financial are monitored
by the general manager.

ii) The vision of our business are clear where every front-line manager are manage
by the each department of middle manager which are human resource manager,
marketing manager, operational manager and financial manager. Therefore, the
middle managers were managed by the top manager which is general manager.

 Our business choose the narrow span or called as tall structure which can
increase employee morale and productivity.

4.0 Motivation
Concept of motivation in our business we emphasize the approach of Maslow’s
Hierarchy of needs.
i) Physiological needs
Leading

Tangible Soil Battery (TSB taking the Follower-Centered Approaches in order to


make sure that employees working towards achieving the goals of our organization.
We practicing the leadership power focus because here, managers try to motivate
rather than control the employees. There are many characteristics of self-leaders.

Firstly, managers have the sensitivity to the needs of others. We as a manager in


this company show a high consideration towards employees’ ideas and feelings.
This encouraged our employees to have the sense of belonging with each other.

Furthermore, respect and trust are developed through the practicing of the respect for
feeling of other and the mutual trust between managers and workers.

The warmth and social rapport with subordinates clearly shows the picture of how
our company working. Great bonding between employers and employees could shift
our organization of transport services set up the excellence services and products to
our customer.

Based on our understandings, organizational control is the systematic process
through which business leaders regulate their organizational activities to make them
consistent with the expectations established in plans, targets and standards of
performance. We had set our making our services and products much better and
more comfort.
In our organization, we had chosen feed forward control which is provide the
quality of inputs to prevent problems in transformation For examples, provides the
comfortable and peaceful place, set up the relevant charges of services and products
and employ a good employee.
After that, Concurrent control which is to monitor on going activities to ensures
that the transformation process are functioning properly and achieving result. For
examples, punctuality of employee during giving services, good attendance services
and comfortable place.

Beside that, Feedback control which is to discover undesirable output and


implement corrective action. For examples, after the transformation process done,
we will check the products of materials, such as quality of battery and so on.
