Modality: Video Produced Lessons
Preparation

 Each subject teacher will produce a pre-recorded lesson as an alternative way to the usual face to face instruction. Prior the opening of classes, a workshop through
Learning Action Cell for all the teachers concerned will be conducted. Workshop includes:
a. Video Recording
1. How to Make Video Recorded Lessons using PowerPoint, MovieMaker etc.
2. How to Edit Video Recorded Lessons
3. How to Distribute Video Recorded Lessons
b. Electronic Module Making
1. How to Electronic Module
2. How to Edit Electronic Module
3. How to Distribute Electronic Module
c. Google Classroom
Since video recording and electronic module making are new to all the teachers, these skills will be honed first. Google classroom will serve as the virtual classroom of
the learners where they can submit their work, download learning materials etc. Since majority of our students are able to access the internet at home with gadgets like
smartphones, tablets and laptops, the use of google classroom will allow both the teachers and students to have a “virtual space” where everything (assignments,
modules, videos, announcements, etc.) will be posted and can be downloaded. For students who are not able to access the internet due to a weak signal but has gadgets
at home, a copy of recoded videos and electronic modules will be saved on the flash drive and will be delivered to the students. For students who don’t have any gadget,
hard copies of modules and activity sheets will be reproduced and be given to them. Couriers like tricycle drivers, and baranggay officials who often come to the city will
be tapped to deliver these learning materials.

 The lesson will be divided into several stages and be recorded for a maximum of 6 minutes only. Research revealed that videos longer than 6 minutes become boring
to the learners. Easy production and minimal storage issues can be encountered when videos are limited to 4-6 minutes because of file size. Cutting the lessons into
several parts will allow the learners to take down notes, answer questions/problems posed by the teacher in the recorded video and attend to personal needs if
needed.
 Lessons which are identified to be difficult for students to comprehend through reading will be discussed through a video recorded lesson while lessons identified to be
“easy” and can be understood by students will be delivered through e-modules.

Below is an example of the how the clip is to be cut:

For Science Teachers using 7Es Lesson Plan Format

Elicit 6 minutes
Engage 6 minutes
Explore 6 minutes
Explain 6 minutes
Elaborate 6 minutes
Evaluate 6 minutes
Extend 6 minutes

For other teachers using 4As Lesson Plan Format

Activate 6 minutes

Apply 6 minutes
Assess 6 minutes

 Students will be grouped into clusters. Students belonging to one baranggay who are near from each other will be counted as one. In each group, the teacher will
identify a student facilitator who will lead the discussion during meetings. Physical distance will be observed. Extra points will be given to these student facilitators.
 To vary the teaching strategy, the following scheme will be adopted:

For Students with Internet Connection and For Students with Gadgets but no Internet Connection

Monday Video Recorded Lesson (Done individually at home)

Tuesday E-module / Activity Sheets (Done individually at home)
Wednesday Video Recorded Lesson (Done individually at home)
Thursday E-module / Activity Sheets (Done individually at home)
Friday Peer Tutoring/Meeting (Done by group at a certain place within the barangay with the supervision of the adult (teacher
facilitator/parent/barangay official)

For Students without gadgets

Content and Delivery

 Each subject teacher is required to produce two video recorded lessons and two electronic modules a week. The number of activity sheets will vary from one
teacher to another depending on the lesson and the subject being taught.
 One lesson must be divided into several parts to minimize the storage issues and for easy distribution. Please refer on the how the clip will divided/cut above.
 The lessons must be coherently arranged and properly labelled to avoid student confusion. File name might be “Respiratory System 1, Respiratory System 2”
etc.
 The teacher may include:
a. Games which can be downloaded from Youtube and be inserted in the clip which will help tickle student’s curiously during the early stage of the
lesson
b. Zumba dance as warm up exercise before the start of the lesson. The exercise must be limited only to few minutes so not shorten or limit the other
parts of the lesson.
c. Video clips will be given and be inserted between lessons to enhance student’s knowledge.
d. Video transcription may be given along with the video for students to clearly understand what the teacher is trying to say.
 If the students have questions, the student can either pose the question in google classroom so other students can see it. The teacher will answer the question
to the best of his/her ability and other students are also asked to answer the question. Healthy discussion is always encouraged.
 Students without gadgets are given with modules with pictures and discussion of the topic. The teacher will make sure that whatever is given to the students
via video recorded lessons is more or less the same with the students taking modular approach. Instead of video clip, the teacher will elaborately explain in
words the video for students to have a deeper understanding of the topic.
Assessment
 In each lesson, an assessment will be given to the students to check whether they have understood the topic or not.

For Students with Internet Connection

e. Answers to assessment will be upload to google classroom.
f. The teacher will read and grade their answers.

For Students with Gadgets but no Internet Connection and Students without gadgets
a. Answers will be written in a paper be passed to the teacher in any of the following means:
1. The teacher will come directly to the place and collect the paper
2. The parent/guardian/barangay official will gather the paper and pass these papers to the teacher personally
3. The parent/guardian/barangay official will gather the paper ask the tricycle driver to hand the paper to the teacher when travelling to the
city
b. The teacher will read and grade their answers.

 Projects/Performance Task will be done individually or by cluster. Rubric for scoring the outputs will be uploaded in the google classroom or be printed and be
distributed to the students who cannot access the internet.
For Students with Internet Connection
a. Projects/performance task will be uploaded to google classroom. Written papers like editorials, essays, letters will be uploaded by the students. A
picture of tangible project will be taken or be recorded if the project needs a proof that it is working.
b. The teacher will check and grade their outputs.

For Students with Gadgets but no Internet Connection and Students without gadgets
a. Projects/performance task will be passed to the teacher in any of the following means:
i. The teacher will come directly to the place and collect the project/performance task.
ii. The parent/guardian/barangay official will gather the project/performance task and pass these projects/performance tasks to the
teacher personally
iii. The parent/guardian/barangay official will gather the projects/performance tasks and ask the tricycle driver to hand the these to the
teacher when travelling to the city
b. The teacher will check and grade their outputs.

Grading
 Student’s effort and performance will be graded. Their grades per quarter will be collected from each subject teacher and will given to them by any of the
following means:
a. A copy of electronic card (in pdf) form will be sent directly to the student’s official email address like yahoo mail or google mail for students with
internet connection
b. A photocopy of card will be delivered to the students by teacher or through couriers like parent/barangay official/tricycle driver. The photocopy of
cards will be properly sealed in a brown envelop with the name of the student at the back.
