Angles and Pairs of Angles

Activity 1: Guided Discovery

Present the following charts and graphs to the students. Ask them to make a story that each graph
or chart represents.

Guide Questions:
1. What can you notice on the hands of the clock?
2. What subset of the line is used as the hands of the clock?
3. Using your prior knowledge on angles, what are the most common angles?
4. From the figure above, what type of angle is being illustrated by the clock?
5. What other figures, or objects can you see angles?

Activity 2: Problem Solving Activity (Localization and Contextualization)


A. The province of Ilocos Norte will be celebrating its bi-centennial year on February 2, 2019. One of
the activities of the said celebration is the Tan-Ok ni Ilocano: Festival of Festivals where in all the
towns and cities in the province will be participating. Our town Paoay, will be showcasing the Guling-
Guling festival. Good dancers were selected to perform for the said event.
Of course, to be a good dancer. You must have a good posture, flexibility, grace, and proper angle
positions to have a beautiful performance and executions.
Identify the angles being executed by some of the good dancers.
Activity 3: Hands-on Activity
The students will be given a worksheet where in they will apply their prior knowledge on algebra
and to check for their answers, they will measure the angles using protractors. After finding for the
measurement, they will identify what type of angle is being illustrated.
