IV. PROCEDURE
ELICIT Activity 1

(5mins.) Have a drill on different kinds of lines.

Have a review on what a ray is.Name the given rays.

ENGAGE Activity 2

(5mins.)
Ask the pupil to look at the clock.

Ask:

What time is now? Lead the pupils to discuss what they

do during recess time,lunch time.etc.
Emphasize the importance of spending time wisely.

EXPLORE Propel Integration

(10mins.)
Jhonseen,Sarah Jane and Janine Marie attend Math
lessons every Saturday.Jhonseen starts his lesson at
3:00 pm,Sarah Jane at 2:00 pm and Janine Marie at
12:45 pm.

Ask: Who attend Math lessons every Saturday? At what

time does Jhonseen start his Math lessons?

How about Sarah Jane?Janine Marie? If you are going to

show in the clock the time of their lessons start, how will
you do it?

Activity 3

Let the pupils works in pairs.Ask them to draw the hand

positions of the clock based on the situation given.

Check who among the pairs were able to draw and

label correctly the hands of the clock.Ask a pair who got
it right to explain their work.

EXPLAIN

(10mins.) How many hands are there in a clock? (two hands) What
geometrical figures each hand represent?(ray)

A T

Ray AC meets with ray AT at point A. An angle is form

A T when two rays meet at a common endpoint. The
common endpoint point is A. It is also known as vertex.
There are 3 ways in naming an angle.  ∠ CAT is read
as “angle CAT.”  ∠ TAC is read as “angle TAC.”  ∠
A is read as “angle A” or ∠ 1 is read as “angle 1”

Do you know that we can measure an angle using

protractor?

This is a protractor, we use this to measure an angle. An

angle is measured in degree ( ° ). Different kinds of angle
can be classified according to their measurement.

Kinds of Angles
Right Angle Acute Angle Obtuse Angle

Right angle Acute angle Obtuse angles

A right angle An acute angle An obtuse angle
measures 90°. measures less measures more
It forms than 90°. It is than 90° but
a square corner. smaller than a less than 180°.
right angle.

ELABORATE Activity 4

(10mins.)

Lead the pupils for the generalizations

EVALUATE

(5mins.)
EXTEND

(5mins.)

V. REMARKS

VI. REFLECTION

A. No. of learners who

earned 80% in the
evaluation.

B. No. of learners who

require additional
activities for
remediation who scored
below 80%.

C. Did the remedial

lessons work? No. of
learners who have
caught up with the
lesson.

D. No. of learners who

continue to require
remediation.

E. Which of my
teaching strategies
worked well? Why did
these work?

F. What difficulties did I

encounter which my
principal or supervisor
can help me solve?

G. What innovation or
localized materials did I
use/discover which I
wish to share with other
teachers?
