Job Description: Pallet Change hanging up.

ATC alarms and not returning tools back to magazine.

Work Completed: ATC shuttle out of position by 2.3mm. Adjusted to the correct zero location.

Magazine chain loose. Reset the chain tension to close up backlash. Found that the chain zero was
off by .8 degrees. Adjusted to ensure shuttle arm up/down inserts square to the tool.

Tested tool changes and evaluated overall TC performance. All tools change good.

Pallet changer was working. Reviewed the change for any obvious alignment concerns and found
none.

Watching to see if machining over time causes some anomaly during pallet change.

Observing overall operation of the machine for performance and signs of possible failure.

ATC and magazine had heavy chip build up and are due for proper PM. I advise not to wait and
schedule a PM ASAP to avoid future failure.

Continued to diagnose PC issues and found that the pallet rotator is bent. Examined causes and
found a place where the guide stop block has impacted the machine casting. No detailed drawing
available in current docs. Will have to consult with the factory to get correct drawings.

Once drawings are found I will return to make required repairs.

Reassembled machine and tested the operation. Ok.
