Dear Sir/Madam:
I am writing to express my interest to apply in the Junior and Senior High English Teaching Positions
that is currently available in your Division. I am confident that my academic background and
curriculum development skills would be successfully utilized either in this two teaching positions.
I have completed my Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education (Major in English) at USEP-Bislig
Campus. I am very excited about the prospect of working in a public institution, rendering my time
and energy towards mentoring students, collaborating with colleagues, and developing innovative,
effective teaching strategies.
A year and a half after I took and passed the LET, I have both taught ALS students at Bislig and
Regular High School Students at the newly Integrated Pamian Elementary School under Lingig II
District Division of Surigao del Sur. In my work with the ALS classes a s a volunteer teacher, I admit
that it was very challenging for they all are varied in many ways and that they possess wide gaps nor
range of learning abilities. Even such, I still managed to bring out the best in them by stressing
critical thinking and incorporating group activities. This diversely designed strategy had drawn much
of my students own experiences as sources of conversation and learning. Each classes had become
more engaging as both my students and I presented a more vivid array of life experiences and
knowledge letting each of them to master the basic concepts needed for them to be accelerated to
higher level of education. Surprisingly, the student response was very encouraging, as we had an
impressive passing rate after the ALS exam.
Additionally, after my ALS journey, I had been able to teach High School Students at Pamian
Integrated School as a Volunteer Teacher for 1 complete school year where we get to travel 18 km.
from Mangagoy down to the School Area. This experience made me handle subjects out of my
comfort zones subjects like Science, Filipino and Mapeh which is of great advantage as I have
explore and teach new things. Also, this valuable exposure has been a great avenue for me to gain
and create new teaching knowledge that would enhance students learning. Furthermore, I have also
attended teaching related seminars which I believe would be of great use to this pursuit.
Please consider this resume and the completed application form as an expression of my sincere
interest in pursuing any teaching vacancies that may arise in your Division. Teaching is the highlight
of my day. It inspires and energizes me, and I want to devote my time to working with students and
helping them to develop, express, and exchange their ideas. With that, I am confident that as a
teacher in your school system, I can create a productive learning environment that is student-
