Failure/Problem

Engine can’t start

Symptom

Start the engine, the cranking rpm condition can start the engine, but the engine can’t start. Remark : Test
the compression pressure, it is normal. No error.

History

The common rail pressure is drop. Changed the fuel supply pump. The supply pump is genuine.

Cause & analysis

Checked the fuel injector, at normally operating condition, the injector must open at 30MPa pressure. The
old injector is not open. So changed the new genuine injector 6 units. After changed the new injector, the
engine can operate with high efficiency.

Action

The affect of impure fuel. In diesel fuel, sulfur, wax crystals and water contains percent is more. So the
sulfur and wax crystals are clogged at the nozzle tip. That the injector is can’t spray.
