PRELIMINARIES

1 The Tenderer shall observe that throughout


this Bill of Quantities, all items, with the
exception as noted, are measured net as fixed
in position and no allowance has been made
for waste

2 Unit rates are deemed to include all labour


and materials, cartage, cutting and waste,
hoisting, setting, fixing in position, return of
packagings, etc

3 The Tenderer, in all trades without exception,


is referred to the Specification for further
particulars of the methods and other
instructions not particularly described herein.

DEMOLITION

Staging :

specified to suit building sequence and
Employer's, adjoining Owner's and Local
Authority requirements and restrictions and
reduce noise, nuisance, etc., to an acceptable
minium.

10 Also make full allowance for normal Employer


operations which will continue during this
contract with all requirements for safety
measures, restricted work areas and time
frames, noise avoidance, vehicle movements
and the like.

Inspections or Reports :
11 Allow to carry out all inspections or reports on
the existing premises and/or on adjoining
properties to the site.

Permits etc :
12 Allow to give all notices, obtain permits and pay
all fees.

Demolition

13 Allow to remove old existing picket fencing


around the fisheries and marine resources
of approx- 210 perimeter and disposed as 1 item 15,000.00 15,000.00

Working Space:

11 Measurement allowances are basically in


accordance with Section 3 of NZS 4202:
1986. Should the Tenderer consider such
allowance inadequate he shall include for
any additional deemed necessary in his
rates.

Pumping etc:

12 Allow to perform all pumping and bailing as


required to keep all excavations free from
water. (See also Preliminaries Section of this
Bill)

Existing Services:

13 Allow to protect and maintain all existing


drains, water and gas services, electrical and
telephone mains which pass through the
site. Allow for any re-routing of same,
provision of temporary services and ensure
continuity of supplies at all times.
