5.2 Maintenance
The unit is maintenance-free. Only the filter needs to
be replaced if the membrane becomes discolored.
Refer to the section “Spare Parts and Accessories” for
replacement filter information.
5.3 Cleaning
Occasionally wipe the plastic gas tester housing down
with a damp towel. Never using any cleaning or abra-
sive materials as these will damage the housing and,
in particular, the display window.

1. Do not charge the unit whilst in use – the charging circuitry and battery will produce additional heat which
may effect the reading.
2. Do not use the unit immediately after charging – allow a few minutes to cool.
3. Before using the CO2 tester, switch on (with pump off) and allow to stabilise for 10 minutes before taking a
measurement.
4. The calibration should be checked regularly (every 2 months) using 5% calibration gas with a certificate of
analysis.
a) Carry out air zero – this part of the calibration must be carried out using air from outside the building.
i) Turn on CO2 tester (pump off) and allow to stabilise for 10 minutes.
ii) Turn on cylinder valve and set flow rate to just below the first graduation.
iii) Connect tube outlet to CO2 tester. – ensure pump is off.
iv) Wait for stable reading.
v) If reading is outside 5% +/- 5% of reading, re-calibration is required.
