2.4.1. Children’s Nightwear

The following table will show what product type needs to be tested according to what standard method and category/class for different markets. Some
products may fall under different categories/classes in a standard depending on design and test results. The given category/class below is the one H&M has
chosen to work with to simplify.
All countries NOT mentioned in the table will have to follow requirements for EU portion. All nightwear garments not mentioned below should be
considered new products and will have to be assessed by GPCD for approval. Products marked with ‘Not Nightwear’ are also ok but will need to follow the
requirements for general apparel.

• CF to Wet Rubbing: Requirement updated for China portion:
o Requirement for children’s products, ages 4-14 years (104-170cl) with direct
skin contact has been removed.
• Dimensional Stability to Household Laundering: Requirement updated on
below compositions & constructions:
o Jersey fabrics ≤130 gsm in viscose, modal, lyocell, linen, silk (with/without
elastane).
o Rib, waffle, interlock & fancy structure for all compositions.
• CF to household laundering: Added the required wash temperature on
polyester colour staining part.
• Pull force test: Requirement from QS&R for Children’s safety has been added
here as well to clarify. Textile apparel with sequins shall instead be tested for
