WORK METHOD OF PRIME COAT AS

PROTECTION FOR SUBBASE COURSE

Prime Coat as Protection for Subbase Course

The purposes of using prime coat on the surface of the Subbase Course are, such as:
1. Keeping the subbase course layer that has been compacted from water penetration
(rain), so it will still in good quality.
2. Keeping the subbase course layer from aggregate segregation

The Application Rate of Prime Coat
• The first layer will be spread on rate 0.46 litres/sq.m (50% of 0.91 litres/sq.m) to protect subbase
course layer until the asphalt work began.
• The Second layer will be spread when the Asphalt work will began (last 50% rate)

Application rate of prime coat as 100%
