VACANCY
This is full-time, fix-term position for forty (40) hours per week during at least ten months (until
the end of the project (30th July 2020), renewable depending on project extension and funding
availability.
Remuneration will be based on TGH‟s salary grid and budget agreed with MHF. TGH provides
medical allowance to their staff.

Process:
Coordination
Actively participate in internal coordination meetings with TGH colleagues
Organize regular meetings with the local partner and report on these to line manager
Liaise with TGH Head of Mission and with technical experts at HQ with regards to project achievements and needs for
modification, any technical problem faced, potential risks and proposed solutions or mitigation measures
Actively participate in regular cluster and sector meetings, when relevant
Liaise with Myanmar Government‟s authorities as needed (in Yangon, in Paletwa, at Union level)
Represent TGH with beneficiaries, local partners, donors, authorities and other stakeholders as needed
Security
Ensure compliance with safety & security rules and regulations by project team members as well as local partner
Compile security notes on a biweekly basis, including information on the context of the Paletwa and any change in the
stakeholders‟ presence/attitudes/relationships
Other
Assist Head of Mission in programming and partnership development
Participate in field visits as requested/needed
Observe confidentiality when performing the tasks above.

employment.

Candidate Profile
Degree in WASH related studies (engineering, public health, geology, etc.)
Management experience in a WASH context;
Technical WASH skills within a humanitarian setting
Working experience in Chin State, especially in Paletwa, is highly appreciated
Ability to work under pressure in a conflict affected area
Demonstrable experience in managing humanitarian projects, including experience with all relevant stakeholders
(beneficiaries, partners, other NGOs, authorities, suppliers, etc.)
Demonstrable excellent English and Myanmar skills both verbal and in writing
Demonstrable computer skills, including mastering of WS Office
Demonstrable experience in building capacity of colleagues or local partners, or an attitude towards capacity-building (as
opposed to a directive management style with high expectations on colleagues‟ skills and abilities). Ability to say „no‟ and
to ring „alarm bells‟ as needed
Organisational skills
Knowledge in administration, financial management and logistics; strong analytical skills
Flexibility, creativity and enthusiasm
Ability to work to a high standard of accuracy and quality
Proactive, problem-solving action orientation is essential
